Customer deposits
RegisterDeposits customers paid against work, and what is still unapplied.
Money you are holding against work
A deposit taken in March and applied in June is easy to lose track of, and the customer never does. This register keeps what was taken, what has been applied, and what is still yours to account for.
It is not a trust account
No money is held here and no account is opened. Whether your trade or your state requires client money to be held separately is a question for you — this tool takes no position on it.
No accounting treatment, no bank details
Nothing is posted anywhere, no refund or forfeiture is concluded, and no payment credential is ever asked for.

A register of deposits you entered. CompliMaint holds no money, is not a trust or client-funds system, applies no accounting treatment, reaches no refund or forfeiture conclusion, holds no bank or card details and gives no legal or financial advice. Everything runs on your device.
Questions people ask
- Is this a trust or client-funds account?
- No. It holds no money, opens no account and moves nothing. Some trades and some states require deposits to be held separately; this tool takes no view on whether that applies to you.
- Does it decide whether I can keep a deposit?
- No. It reaches no conclusion about refund or forfeiture. What happened to a deposit is what you recorded.
- Where do the bank details go?
- Nowhere. There is no field for a bank account, a routing number or a card, and there will not be one.
- How is this different from the security deposit register?
- That one is tenancy money held under a lease. This is money a customer paid against contracted work.
- Does it apply the deposit to an invoice?
- No. It records what you say you applied. Your invoice is a separate document.
