Questions people ask

Does it tell me when I have to return a deposit?
No, and it will not. Deposit return deadlines vary by state and sometimes by city, they depend on facts about the tenancy, and getting one wrong is expensive. This product has not researched them, so it counts no deadline and states none. The dates here are the ones you enter.
Does it work out what I can keep?
No. Whether any amount may be applied to charges is a question for your tenancy agreement and your state’s law. “Applied to charges” on this register records what you say you did; it is deliberately not a statement that you were entitled to.
Does it add deposit interest?
No. Some places require interest on held deposits and some do not, and the rate and the method differ. There is no interest rule here and no calculation.
Can I record the account the deposit sits in?
In your own words — “main street branch”. There is no field for an account number, a routing number or a card, and there will not be one.
How is this different from the deposit return letter?
