Payment plan tracker
WorksheetInstallments and payments against a plan you already agreed, with the balance in exact cents.
A record, not an agreement
The distinction matters more here than almost anywhere in the product. An agreement creates obligations and needs terms, signatures and consequences; a record says what was agreed and what has happened since. This is the second thing, and it carries none of the first.
Three kinds of line, on purpose
A charge is what was owed, a payment is money that arrived, a credit is a reduction somebody decided on. They are totaled separately so the balance is explicable — and so a written-off amount never quietly reads as money received.
Whole cents, and a running balance
Every line moves the balance in integer cents, in the order you typed them, so the column matches the paper you are checking it against.

Questions people ask
- Is this a payment agreement?
- No, and it is important that it is not. It creates no obligation, has no signature block, sets no schedule of its own and contains no acceleration, default or consequence wording. It records a plan you and the other party already agreed somewhere else.
- Does it charge interest?
- No. It applies no interest, no APR and no late fee. If interest was part of what you agreed, enter it as a charge line so the record matches the arrangement.
- What happens if a payment is missed?
- Whatever your agreement says. The tool takes no view, triggers nothing and does not accelerate a balance. Missing a payment simply means the balance does not go down that month.
- Why are payments and credits separate?
- Because “what have they actually paid” and “what have we written off” are different questions, and a record that netted them could not answer either. The ledger keeps three kinds of line and totals them separately.
- Can I print it for the customer?
- Yes. It prints as a statement of the plan and what has been paid against it. It is a record, not a demand and not a notice.
