Questions people ask
- Does this qualify anybody?
- No. It awards no qualification, no accreditation and no certificate, and it is not a portfolio submission. Whether somebody is qualified is decided by their awarding body and by whoever carries that responsibility.
- Why does the lifecycle say 'observed' rather than 'passed'?
- Because observed is the whole of what a supervisor can honestly record. Putting 'passed' on a button would be a free website implying a competence determination it has no standing to make.
- Can I record anything about the person?
- Only what they were working towards, what was done and who signed it off. There is no medical field, no disability or protected-class marker and no date of birth anywhere in it.
- Do two apprentices with the same name get mixed up?
- No. Every element is stored against the person's stable id rather than their name, so two people called the same thing keep two separate records.
