Property showing & prospect log
LogWho came to see a unit, when, who showed it, how it went, and what you owe them next.
It scores nobody
There is no rating, no ranking and no field for a view about whether somebody would make a good resident — and that absence is the design rather than a gap. Screening decisions have rules attached to them, and a log that invited a note about a prospect’s suitability is a log that produces the wrong kind of record. This one holds what happened at the showing and what you owe them next.
Applied is where this log ends
A prospect who applies moves to a terminal stage here, because the application is its own record and duplicating it in a showings log is how two versions of the same person start to disagree. What stays is the useful bit: how they found the unit, when they saw it, and how long it took.
Before and after a showing: Marketing source tracker · Rental application · Rent roll
A log of showings and follow-ups. CompliMaint scores nobody, ranks nobody, records no screening decision and holds nothing about a prospect beyond how to follow up with them. Everything runs on your device.
Questions people ask
- Is this a CRM?
- No, and it is deliberately not built to become one. There are no pipelines, no scores, no automated follow-ups and no contact database behind it — just a log of who came, when, and what you owe them next.
- Should I write down my impression of somebody?
- No. Record what happened and what they asked about. Anything resembling a view on whether somebody would be a suitable resident does not belong in a log, and no decision should be traceable to a note like that.
- What do I record about a prospect?
- A name and a way to follow up is enough. Nothing about family, income, background, national origin or disability belongs here — this tool is not built to hold it.
- How is this different from the marketing source tracker?
- This one is about the appointment: who came, who showed it, how it went. The source tracker is about the money and the channel — which listing produced which inquiries, at what cost, with what result.
