Questions people ask
- Can I record individual workers here?
- No, and there is nowhere to. There is no worker name, engagement, hours, pay rate against a person, right-to-work or immigration field anywhere in this register. It is the relationship with the agency, not with the people they send.
- Why are agency commercial terms allowed but not a worker's rate?
- Because a charge basis agreed with a supplier is an ordinary commercial fact about a company, and a rate against a named individual is a payroll record about a person. The two are not the same document.
- Does it decide employment status?
- No. Whether anybody supplied under an arrangement is an employee, a worker or self-employed is a question of law that depends on the facts and the jurisdiction, and this product does not answer it.
- Is this a labor supply chain audit?
- No. It records the arrangements you have. It audits nobody, checks no license and makes no determination about any supplier.
