Training needs analysis
Dated sheetWhat you want covered, for which roles, and roughly when.
Planning at role level
Role, how many are in it, what you want covered, why you listed it and when you want it. Five columns, and no name in any of them.
Nothing here is stated as required
The 'why' column is yours: your reason for listing it. This product does not tell you what training the law, a contract or a scheme demands of you.
Around it
What individuals have actually done is the training completion record. Who is qualified for what is the training matrix.
Forward planning of training at role level. It names nobody, supplies no training requirement or competency standard, and certifies nothing. Everything runs on your device.
Questions people ask
- Why is there no person column?
- Because a per-person requirement matrix is a document about named individuals that says what each of them is missing, and it is read later by people who were not in the conversation. Planning happens at role level here, and it names nobody.
- Does it tell me what training is required?
- No. This product supplies no training requirement, no competency standard and no frequency. What anybody owes comes from the work, from your own program and from the regulator where you are working.
- Does it certify anything?
- No. Nothing here certifies, qualifies or accredits anybody. It is a plan, and a plan is not evidence that anything happened.
- Where do completed sessions go?
- On the training records, which are separate and per person. This sheet is about what you intend to arrange.
