- Does it work out the pay effect of a swap?
- No. It calculates no hours, no overtime, no premium and no pay consequence of any kind. Whether a swap changes what anybody is owed comes from wage and hour law, from your own agreements and from your payroll.
- Is a swap here the same as leave?
- No, and nothing here treats it as one. There is no leave determination, no balance and no entitlement in this log.
- Can I record why somebody wanted the swap?
- There is a notes box, with a line beside it saying what does not belong in it. If the reason is medical, about somebody's family or a protected matter, leave it out — this log is not built to hold it and you do not need it to approve a swap.
- Do two people with the same name get mixed up?
- No. Every swap is stored against the person's stable id, not their name, so two people called the same thing keep two separate lists and renaming either changes nothing.
