A register, not a contract

This records that an agreement exists. It holds the number, the other party, the dates, what it covers in your own words, and where the renewal conversation has got to. That is the whole of it.

It writes no contract language — not a clause, not a cancellation term, not an auto-renewal provision, not a warranty, not an exclusion, and no signature. If you need an agreement drafted, that is a different job and a different document. This is the list that tells you which ones you have and which one is about to run out.

Nothing here decides whether an agreement renews itself

Whether your agreement rolls over, how much notice either side has to give, and what happens if nobody says anything are questions about the words in the document you signed. CompliMaint reads none of it and concludes none of it. The end date on the row is the one you read off the paperwork and typed.

Two agreements with the same name stay two agreements

Rows belong to the building or account by its stable id, and each row has an id of its own. Two “Quarterly HVAC maintenance” rows are two agreements with two histories, and renaming either the building or the row moves nothing.

Questions people ask

Does it write the agreement for me?
No. It records that one exists. There is no clause library, no template wording, no cancellation or auto-renewal language and no signature in this tool, deliberately — drafting an agreement is a different job from keeping a list of the ones you hold.
Will it tell me if an agreement auto-renews?
No. Whether an agreement rolls over, and what notice either side must give, is decided by the words in your own document. CompliMaint reads none of it, infers nothing from the end date, and moves no row on its own — “Up for renewal” is a stage you select.
Can I use it for agreements I have given as well as ones I hold?
Yes. The register does not care which side you are on: it records the agreement, the other party, and the dates. Say which is which in the scope field if it matters.
What happens when an agreement ends?
Nothing automatic. You move the row to “Lapsed” or “Ended” when you decide it has, and it stays in the register as history. If a new term is agreed, recording it as its own row keeps the old terms readable.
Where is it stored?
Without an account: in this browser, on this device, with nothing uploaded and nothing to sign up for. Signed into a CompliMaint workspace, the same records are also stored for that workspace — which is what puts them on your other devices and in front of your colleagues — and the screen says which of the two you are looking at.
