Panel schedule

Field record

Which way feeds what — written down and printed for the inside of the door.

A directory, and only a directory

Circuit number, what is marked on the breaker, what the way serves, which rooms. That is a panel schedule: the thing that stops somebody switching off half a floor to find out what number twelve does.

There is no calculation here, and there will not be

No load calculation. No demand factor, no connected or diversified load, no breaker or conductor sizing, no ampacity, no voltage drop, no fault current, no box or conduit fill. Not as a hidden field, and not as a total at the foot of the grid — the grid has no totals at all, deliberately, because a column of amps with a sum under it is a load calculation whatever it is labeled.

Every rating on the sheet is one you copied off the equipment in front of you. CompliMaint states no NEC or local requirement and makes no determination that any panel, circuit or conductor is correct, adequate or compliant.

Who this is for

The person who has to find a circuit next year. Sizing a conductor or calculating a load is an electrician’s work, done on site with the drawings — this is the paperwork that should already have been on the door and usually is not.

Kept alongside: Lock and tag register · Meter reading log · Utility shutoff register

A printable circuit directory recording what each way serves, kept per building on your device. IT PERFORMS NO ELECTRICAL CALCULATION: there is no load calculation, demand factor, connected or diversified load, breaker or conductor sizing, ampacity, voltage drop, fault current or fill calculation anywhere in this tool, and the grid carries no totals. Every rating on it is one you copied off the equipment. CompliMaint states no NEC or local code requirement and makes no determination that any panel, circuit or conductor is correct, adequate or compliant. Everything runs on your device.

Questions people ask

Does it calculate the panel load?
No, and it has no field or total that could. There is no load calculation, demand factor, connected load, ampacity, voltage drop or fill calculation in this product. It is a directory of what each way serves.
Will it size a breaker or a conductor for me?
No. Sizing is engineering work done against the actual installation, the code edition your jurisdiction has adopted and the conditions of use. This tool records the rating printed on the breaker in front of you and draws no conclusion from it.
Why does the grid have no totals?
Because a column of ratings with a sum underneath is a load calculation whatever it is called. The absence is deliberate and is asserted by a test, so it cannot be quietly added later.
Can I record the panel rating and voltage?
Yes — as they are marked on the panel. They are recorded as text you copied, and nothing is checked or calculated against them.
Is this good enough for an inspector?
That is not a question this product answers. It states no code requirement and makes no compliance determination. It gives you a legible, dated directory to print and put in the door; what your jurisdiction requires is between you, your electrician and your AHJ.
