A record of readings an operator took, kept as a continuous log. It sets no limits: the operating pressures and temperatures that are normal for your boiler come from its nameplate, its manufacturer and your jurisdiction's boiler rules, and how often readings must be taken and by whom is set by your state boiler authority and your insurer. CompliMaint makes no determination that any boiler is safe to operate or that any facility is compliant.
No pressures come from us
A boiler’s safe operating range is on its own nameplate, and depends on the vessel, its manufacturer and the rules your state boiler authority enforces. A number printed by a website next to a vessel under pressure is not merely unhelpful. So there is no maximum working pressure, no supply temperature and no stack temperature anywhere in this tool.
What you can do is record the nameplate figure as text on the boiler’s setup, so it prints on the log, and set your own normal ranges so a reading outside them is flagged Outside your range. Wherever a range appears it is captioned the same way: Your normal range — you set this. CompliMaint doesn't set targets.
One log sheet per boiler, which is how it is kept
A plant room with three boilers keeps three logs, not one interleaved sheet. Each boiler is set up once — steam or hot water, its fuel, its nameplate pressure, its install year — and keeps its own chronological monthly record.
The form asks the right questions
A steam boiler has a water column to watch, a low-water cutoff to test and a blowdown to perform. A hot water boiler has none of those and does have supply and return temperatures. Choosing the type changes the questions rather than showing you all of them and expecting you to know which to ignore.
Anything marked as an abnormal condition requires a corrective action before the log will build — an abnormal reading with a blank next to it is the entry that causes an argument a year later.
What lands on the building’s timeline
Routine readings do not. A month of daily pressures would bury a building’s history and hide the entry that matters. Only the entries that found something — an abnormal condition, or a reading outside a range you set — become events on the facility record; the readings themselves live on the printed log, which is where somebody goes to read them.
