Questions people ask

Does it tell me if I am over budget?
It shows you the variance. It does not tell you whether that variance is good, bad, acceptable or material — that is a judgment about your project, made by somebody who knows it.
Is there a default threshold?
No, and that is deliberate. The highlight percentage is blank on purpose; leave it blank and nothing is flagged. A threshold shipped in the tool would make a materiality judgment for everybody who never changed a number they never saw.
Why is this scoped to a project rather than a job?
Because a job in this product is accepted contracted work with a frozen contract sum, and an internal program or a fit-out is not that. A project has an id of its own, so the budget hangs off the right thing.
Does it forecast the final cost?
No. It states what was budgeted and what has been committed or spent, both of which are your figures.
Is this accounting?
No. No accounting treatment is applied and no accruals are computed.
