- No. There is no exposure limit, no action level, no daily or weighted exposure calculation and no hearing-protection determination anywhere in it. Those come from the regulator and from the specialist who assesses exposure.
- Is this a noise assessment?
- No. A noise or vibration assessment is specialist work with its own method and its own report. This is a log of figures somebody measured, with enough context beside them to be worth reading.
- Does it decide whether the noise is a nuisance?
- No. Nuisance, annoyance and damage are questions for the authority, the consent and the people who assess them. Nothing here reaches an opinion.
- Why record the instrument and settings?
- Because a decibel figure without the meter, the weighting and the period is not a measurement. The instrument field is on every entry for that reason.
