Bank reconciliation

Worksheet

Your records against the statement in your hand, line by line, with the difference shown.

The statement, the records, and the gap

Reconciling on the back of a statement with a pen is how a missing payment stays missing. This lays both sides out in whole cents and shows the difference.

It never sees your bank

No connection, no import, no feed, no login — and no account number, routing number or card details anywhere on the page. The account is a label.

Match status on every line

Each line says whether it is on both sides, only in your records, or only on the statement. That column is usually where the answer is.

Alongside this: Supplier statement · Petty cash · Cash deposit sheet

A worksheet that does arithmetic on figures you entered. CompliMaint connects to no bank, imports no transaction, holds no account number, routing number or card details, applies no accounting treatment and gives no financial advice. Everything runs on your device.

Questions people ask

Does it connect to my bank?
No. There is no connection, no feed, no import and no login. Every line is one you typed from a statement you are holding.
Where do I put the account number?
Nowhere. There is no field for an account number, a routing number or a card, and there will not be one. The account is a name you would recognize.
Is this accounting?
No. There is no ledger, no journal and no period close. It is arithmetic that makes a difference visible.
Does it tell me what the difference is?
It shows it. What caused it — a check that has not cleared, a fee you had not recorded — is what you write in the notes.
Can I do more than one account?
Yes. Name the account in your own words and file one sheet per account per statement.
