Questions people ask

Why is there no account number?
Because a sheet listing cash and carrying an account number is a document nobody should leave on a desk. The bank field takes a name you would recognize — “main street branch” — and nothing more. There is no routing number, sort code or account field anywhere on it.
Does it connect to a bank?
No. It moves no money, submits nothing and reconciles against no statement. It is a counting sheet you print and take with the deposit.
What is the checked-by line for?
A second pair of eyes, where your own procedure asks for one. Two people counting is the ordinary control on cash and the sheet leaves room for it without requiring it.
Can I list individual checks?
Yes. Each line takes a kind, a detail — who the check is from, or which denomination — a count and an amount, so a deposit of thirty checks is thirty lines that add up.
Does it total automatically?
Yes, in whole cents, so the printed total is the sum of the printed column.
