Meeting minutes & action items

Field record

What was discussed, what was decided, and who is doing what by when — with the actions going somewhere real.

The actions go somewhere real

An action agreed in a meeting is the same obligation as one raised from an inspection: somebody owns it, it is due by a date, and it is open until it is not. So the button sends them to the corrective action tracker — the same records the rest of this product already uses — instead of into a private list that would drift out of step within a month.

Minutes are a record, not a live document

Once filed, the minutes stay as they were. The actions carry on and get closed wherever open work is being worked. That separation is deliberate: a set of minutes that quietly updated itself would stop being a record of what was said on a date.

Nobody is notified

There are no accounts, no logins and no notifications here — an owner is a name typed so a person reading the list knows whose it is. What the product gives you instead is one list of open work per building, which is the thing a weekly meeting is usually trying to produce.

Minutes and the actions that came out of them. Action items you send to the tracker become the same records the rest of this product uses. It is not a project schedule and assigns nothing to anybody automatically. Everything runs on your device.

Questions people ask

What happens when I send the action items to the tracker?
Each one becomes a corrective action record — the same kind raised from an inspection, a log or a safety event — with the title, the owner and the due date you typed, and a note saying which meeting it came from. It then shows up in the facility's open work alongside everything else, which is the whole point. A second list living inside this tool would drift from that one within a month.
Does it notify or assign anybody?
No. There are no accounts, no notifications and no assignment in this product: an owner is a name you typed so a person reading the list knows who it is. Everything runs locally on your own device.
Can I keep minutes without any actions?
Yes. Write the minutes, file the sheet, print it. The action grid is there when a meeting produces work and can be left empty when it does not — though a meeting with no actions is worth noticing.
Are the actions editable afterwards?
In the tracker, yes — they are ordinary action records from that point on, and closing one there closes it everywhere. The minutes stay as they were filed, which is right: minutes are a record of what was said on a date, not a live document.
