Claims go quiet, and that is the problem

A claim is submitted, somebody says they will come back, and four months later nobody remembers whether they did. This is the list with the reference, the date it went in, the date they gave you, and what they actually said.

It reads no warranty

CompliMaint does not know your warranty terms and will not guess at them. It determines nothing about whether a failure is covered, excluded, in or out of term, or whether a claim should have been paid. Those are settled by the document and the manufacturer.

The response date is theirs

Where you record a date they promised, it is recorded as a date they gave you. Nothing here counts a deadline, sets a response period, or concludes that anybody is late.

Does it tell me whether something is under warranty?
No. It makes no coverage determination of any kind. Whether a failure is covered is settled by the warranty document and by the manufacturer.
What is the response date for?
It records a date THEY gave you. CompliMaint sets no response period, counts no deadline and concludes nothing about lateness.
How is the equipment identified?
By your own label, copied off the plate, in a field on the row. The row belongs to the job by its stable id, never by that text.
Why is it kept against a job?
Because a warranty claim usually arises from work you did — you replaced a part on a job and are claiming for it. The job's stable id keeps the two ends of the story connected.
