Referral log

Workplace register

Who referred whom, for what role, and where it got to.

Who referred whom

The referrer, the role, the label for the person, and where it got to. Four things, and the fourth is the one everybody forgets to record.

No figures, and no candidate file

No bonus amount and nothing about the candidate beyond a label. Both belong elsewhere, in systems built for them.

Around it

The pipeline is the candidate tracker. The position itself is the staffing plan, and the request to fill it is the requisition tracker.

A log of referrals and outcomes. It holds no bonus or payment figure and nothing about a candidate beyond the label you need to tell referrals apart. Everything runs on your device.

Questions people ask

Does it hold the bonus amount?
No. Whether a payment is owed is something you write down in your own words; what it is worth belongs in payroll. A bonus figure against a named person is a compensation record, and this log is not one.
How much should I record about the candidate?
As little as lets you tell referrals apart. Somebody being considered for a job is a person with their own privacy, and their details belong in the recruiting tools rather than in a list about who referred them.
Why track referrals at all?
Because referral schemes fail quietly when nobody can say whether a referral went anywhere, and the people who made them stop bothering. The outcome column is the one that keeps the scheme alive.
Is this a recruiting pipeline?
No. It records the referral and the outcome. The pipeline itself, and everything about a candidate, is the candidate tracker.
