There is no signature capture in this product on any tool. A line drawn on a screen authenticates nothing, and a register carrying one would look like evidence of execution while being evidence of nothing at all — which is worse than having no register, because somebody would rely on it. What was signed, by whom and when is recorded as a fact you are writing down.
Where the original is kept is required
The safe, the deeds packet, with the client. The original is the document; this log exists so somebody can find it. It makes no determination that anything was validly executed, properly witnessed, notarized or effective — those are questions about the document and the law it was made under.
