It searches nothing. It holds no party list, compares no names, reads no other matter, and has no view on whether anything conflicts. Every conflict search this log records happened somewhere else — in your practice management system, in your own files, in somebody’s head — and what this page does is note that it happened, who did it and when.
Why there is no “Cleared” stage
The stage list stops at “Outcome recorded”. Clearing a conflict is a professional judgment, and a stage button labeled Cleared would be this product making one on your behalf, in a record somebody might later rely on. If you cleared it, write that in the outcome box in your own words. The word appears on a row because a person typed it, and only then.

- Does this tool check for conflicts?
- No, and it never will. It performs no search of any kind, holds no list of parties or former clients, and compares nothing. It is a dated note that a search was carried out elsewhere.
- Can I mark a search as cleared?
- Only by typing it. There is an outcome box for your own words and no stage, button or status that says cleared, because a clearance is a determination CompliMaint is in no position to make.
- Should I list the parties I searched?
- Record the scope of the search in your own words — which systems and which lists — at whatever level of detail is useful to you. The tool is not built to be a party database and holds no structured list of names.
- Does it prove I ran a conflict check?
- It records that you say you did, on a date, with your notes. What proves anything to a regulator, an insurer or a court is a question about your own record-keeping, and no free tool can answer it for you.
