- Your fire and evacuation drill records for the period. - Fire safety compliance is a licensing precondition. A Rhode Island assisted living license application must contain affirmative evidence of the ability to comply with the regulations and with federal, state and local laws on fire safety and other health and safety requirements. Fire safety is proved at application, not merely inspected later. 216-RICR-40-10-2
