Create and send a customer invoice
Issue an invoice, email it or print a PDF, and see when it went out.
How toReviewed September 27, 2026
- In Get paid, press “New invoice”. Choose the customer and add the lines.
- It starts as a Draft. Press “Finalize invoice” — it gives the invoice its number. After that its lines and amounts can't be edited, only voided or credited.
- Finalizing does not send it. Use “Send it to your customer” to email it from CompliMaint, with an optional note — or “Print or save a PDF” and hand it over, then “Mark as sent”.
- The invoice's Email history lists each email sent from CompliMaint: to whom, when, and whether sending failed.
Invoice statuses: Draft, Scheduled, Sent, Viewed, Partially paid, Paid, Overdue, Void.
If the email provider refuses the message, correct the billing email on the customer's record and send it again.
